Original, instinctive, and guided by its influences—but never beholden to them—Modern Fiction builds new classics with a reverence for their inspirations with an admiration for ease, embellishment, and the elegant subtleties that makes personal style come to life.

Our Approach

The brand identity explores nostalgic visual elements in playful statements. Shoeboxes, hang-tags and tissue papers are signed-off with a bespoke script logotype. Paired with an embellished yet robust serifed emblem, the logomarks invite intrigue. A high-contrast color palette reshapes itself from full-bleed backgrounds to intricate retro-inspired patterns. This is Modern Fiction – the future is unwritten.
