Owned and run by a team that understands art, design and creativity, The Affiche Gallery set out to simplify access to limited edition artwork. Working with top artists in the likes of calligrapher Wissam Shawkat and artist Ruben Sanchez, the brand offers an exclusive, curated collection of affordable limited edition posters across uncomplicated formats. With the brand’s initial launch at pop-ups across Art Dubai and Alserkal Avenue, Affiche set out to remain true to its concept of bringing quality artwork and exhibits to the greater public.
The brief was to define the brand identity through an approachable and affordable lens. To highlight the agile nature of the collective, an expandable logotype was introduced to play off of standard poster formats. A pragmatic black and white palette both recedes into the background (to let the artwork do the talking), and advances forward to reflect a contemporary identity.
